Wendy, Post Graduate Student, Suriname
Motivated, focused young lady, who is outgoing, encouraging and loves to help others improve. As her nickname “shellfish” suggests, she is hard on the outside, but warm and soft on the inside. She is on her way to becoming an inspiring, well-trained and skilful trainer. Training with Shellfish is always fun and worthwhile.
Our newest trainer to the Team of FUMTC. Rachela has a very welcoming approach to our newest members, welcoming them to the FUMTC family with the foundations. Rachela's bubbly, open personality is definitely comforting when you are taking your first steps in this family. Rachela's first trip to Thailand is scheduled for late 2014, where she will return with a wealth of knowledge in the current drills and combinations being taught in the country of origin of this great Art form.
Rachela Shanahan, Ladies Class Trainer
As a trainer Rachella knows exactly how to push me and make me strive further. She makes me work hard, but also makes sure training has its fun and light hearted moments! She's super patient but isn't afraid to give me a friendly "tap" to remind me to keep my hands up!
Is always at the club helping out with pad work or stretching, collecting money. Helps out with the beginners new to the club making sure they are looked after and makes sure they understand what they are being taught.
Hannah, Graduate, Club President and Fighter
Over the past year I have seen Shellfish really catch the muay thai bug. She is dedicated to the club and has grown from a beginner to an experienced member in a relatively short period of time. This is a testament to her dedication and focus. She always treats everyone with respect and has a gift for making the most difficult (physically) of sessions fun. She is growing as a teacher, trainer and role model as every minute ticks by. She is one of the toughest people I have met and continues to challenge others to push themselves beyond their limits that they have imposed on themselves.
